At today’s meeting with Polish Deputy Minister of Defence Tomasz Zdzikot, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence Kristjan Prikk discussed cooperation between the two countries in the field of cyber defence.

According to Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence Kristjan Prikk, Estonia and Poland share a great interest in developing cyber cooperation.

‘It is important that we view cyber threats and the events taking place in cyber space in the same way as our allies. In particular since we share a similar understanding of threats and regional security with Poland,’ stated Prikk.

Estonia’s experience in developing the field of cyber security was discussed at the meeting. Prikk invited Poland to get acquainted with the opportunities offered by the NATO Cyber Range.

Together they considered it important to develop cyber defence within the framework of the expanded presence of NATO and various training exercises.
According to Prikk, defence cooperation between Estonian and Poland continues to deepen.

Prikk thanked Zdzikot for Poland’s contribution to the Baltic Air Policing Mission and to the NATO Force Integration Unit in Estonia, the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence, the Baltic Defence College, and the large-scale spring training exercise Siil.

Polish Deputy Defence Minister Tomasz Zdzikot, who is on a visit to Estonia, is responsible for the development of the field of cyber security within the Polish Ministry of Defence.
