Minister of Defence Hanno Pevkur has honoured the major contributors to the Reserve Forces Fund with awards of the Ministry of Defence – including the organisers of a charitable concert and representatives of Apotheka, Goldtime, and Ott&Matilda.
"The Reserve Forces Fund offers companies and individuals the opportunity to make an additional contribution to our national defence, and the ongoing Reserve Forces Week is a great opportunity to thank last year’s major supporters. I am pleased that in just over a year, several products in digital camouflage have been launched and a full-length concert has been organised to show appreciation for our national defenders," said Minister of Defence Hanno Pevkur.
Several key organisers of the charity concert "Symphony for Heroes" were recognised. The concert was held at the end of last year, and with the support of television viewers, more than €50,000 was donated to the fund.
“Supporting the Reserve Forces Fund is the least I can do as a foreigner to support Estonia’s national defence and the reservists who protect us,” said John Longhurst.

The Reserve Forces Fund was established last year by the National Defence Promotion Foundation in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence. Its aim is to enhance the combat readiness of Estonia’s reservists by funding special equipment, training reserve officers, fostering unit cohesion, and recognising outstanding reservists and units. To date, drone equipment worth €97,000 has been procured through the fund.
