MOD introduces planned EDF remuneration reform

Tomorrow, 27th October at 1 pm, the Ministry of Defence will unveil details of the new remuneration reform of the Estonian Defence Forces.

The objective of the reform is to introduce a more structured and definite remuneration system in the Estonian Defence Forces. The draft addresses the remuneration basis of regular members of the Defence Forces, the new remuneration system for service in international operations, compensations, and pension provisions. This reform also foresees a major increase in allowances paid to conscripts.

The reform will be introduced by the Minister of Defence, Mr. Jürgen Ligi, the Deputy Undersecretary for Defence Planning, Major Lauri Tumm, and the Director of the Military Service Department, Major Madis Kraav.
