Mr. Almann’s presentation will focus on sharing Estonia’s experience of its accession to the Euro-Atlantic security area and will present Estonia’s proposal of incorporating international expertise in the enforcement of security reforms. Mr. Almann stressed the importance of the frank advice received from recognised independent experts upon Estonia’s, and the other Baltic States’, integration to the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation.
“Although each country is a unique entity with regard to geopolitical characteristics, some processes can be compared with each other. The experiences gained give us an opportunity to learn from the successes and mistakes of each other”, said Mr. Almann.
