Estonian Defence Minister Jurgen Ligi will this evening leave for Finland to meet with his colleague Seppo Kaariainen.
This is primarily a getting-acquainted visit in the course of which the Finnish side will introduce its plans for the upcoming European Union presidency.
In addition the ministers plan to discuss the development of European battle groups, regional cooperation and international operations.
Under regional cooperation, matters relating to the Baltic Defense College based in Estonia\'s second-largest city Tartu are to be considered.
Ligi is to meet also with the head of the Finnish Parliament\'s National Defense Committee Kauko Juhantalo.
