In the framework of IPAP Armenia is planning to start the reforms in its defence forces with the goal of securing similar positive development as Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania in the past. The aim of the reforms is to make Armenia’s defense forces compatible with the standards of NATO and EU, the Armenian Minister of Defence said.
\"Estonia welcomes the completion of Armenia\'s first IPAP and is offering its help and reform experience in the implementation of the IPAP,\" the Estonian Minister of Defence Jaak Jõerüüt said after the meeting.
The Armenian delegation visited the Baltic Defense College in Tartu and met the Chiefof College Lithuanian Brig. Gen. Algis Vaiceliunas.
\"The Baltic Defense College is an excellent example of good regional cooperation,\" Sargsyan said.
Sargsyan also met with the Chairman of the Estonian Parliament’s National Defense Committee, Toivo Tootsen.
