Estonian Defense Minister Jurgen Ligi will attend a two-day meeting with other Baltic Defense Ministers in Jurmala, Latvia, today.
The traditional trilateral meeting will focus on the Baltic co-operation and its future.
The meeting will also discuss topics connected with the the Riga Summit; BALTDEFCOL; BALTNET and Air Policing; Land Forces’ co-operation; and joint procurements.
The Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian Defense Ministers will sign the Jjoint Communique of the Ministrial Committee in which guidelines for future cooperation and development of cooperation projects will be defined.
The previous meeting of the Baltic defense ministers took place last November in Parnu, Estonia.
