ANP sets concrete goals and plans for the state and its defence forces which have to be fulfilled within the coming year. On the basis of the annual plan NATO will compare the candidate country’s preparedness with demands set up for future members.
The fourth ANP approved by the Estonian Government is the last one before the NATO Summit Meeting in Prague this November where Estonia hopes to get the invitation to join the Alliance.
The three main speakers at the press-conference will be the head of the expert committee for preparations to join NATO, the Ministry’s Defence Policy Deputy Secretary General Margus Kolga, the Deputy Undersecretary of the Ministry Harri Tiido and the Director of the Public Affairs department of the Ministry of Defence Madis Mikko.
