Between October 9. - 10 the Estonian Minister of Defence Sven Mikser will be on a two-day visit in Great Britain to meet the British Minister of Defence Geoffrey Hoon.
The main topics will cover the NATO enlargement process, Estonian-British bilateral defence co-operation, Baltic projects, international fight against terrorism and the present security situation in the world.
The Estonian Minister of Defence will participate in the Royal United Services Institute for Defence Studies (RUSI) discussion led by General Garry Johnson. Mikser will give a presentation: “Recent developments in EU and NATO, a view from Estonia”. On the same day the Estonian delegation will also meet with Bruce George, head of the British Parliament’s Defence Committee.
On Thursday Mikser will meet the British Minister of Defence Geoffrey Hoon and visit the Defence Crisis Management Center.
