The investigation is ongoing and the criminal matter is conducted by the State Prosecutor's Office and the Internal Security Service. During the investigation the comments on the case can be provided only by the State Prosecutor's Office or Internal Security Service.
Today I summoned a Commission aimed at identifying the extent of the damage that may be caused, the measures needed to reduce possible damage and how to avoid similar cases in the future. The Commission will be chaired by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, Kristjan Prikk.
The activities of the Estonian Defence Forces are based on trust, without trust it is impossible to organize effective national defence. And we will continue to trust our people! However, those who are on the road to treasure will be detected and punished.
