Yesterday, Defence Minister Hanno Pevkur met with Swedish Defence Minister Pål Jonson in Tallinn to discuss regional defence cooperation and the upcoming NATO summit. Additionally, Defence Minister Jonson visited the NATO DIANA innovation accelerator in Tallinn.
"As a member of NATO, the defence cooperation between Sweden and Estonia is only getting stronger, and today we discussed various possibilities with Defence Minister Jonson. Since Sweden has also joined the NATO DIANA network, new opportunities have opened up in the field of technology," said Defence Minister Pevkur.
The main purpose of this visit by the Swedish Defence Minister was to participate in the Lennart Meri Conference, where Defence Minister Jonson participated in a public recording of the podcast "Brussels Sprouts" with Defence Minister Pevkur yesterday and in a panel today discussing Baltic Sea security.
