Military Education and Information Section of the Estonian Defence Ministry is conducting the second NATO introductory seminar in Tallinn today. The seminar is designated for the state officials whose everyday work demands increasing communication with NATO structures.

 

During the seminar the following topics will be tackled: Post-Prague accession talks with NATO: topics and procedures; Estonia’s obligations in front of the Alliance: Budget, commitments formulated in the Membership Action Plan; Host Nation Support: Estonia’s preparations to fulfil its obligations; Estonia’s integration into the NATO military structure; Documentation flow and information security according to the rules of NATO; Juridical questions deriving from the integration process and communication practice with the Alliance.

 

The aim of the seminar is to give a detailed overview of NATO as a political and military union, its development and of Estonia’s place in the NATO integration process. The lectures will be delivered by various experts from different fields who already have acquired experience in the respective areas connected with NATO and Estonia’s developments in NATO direction.

The Ministry of Defence is planning  to continue the NATO introduction seminar cycle in the future.
